The Cyprus Anti-Cancer Society, following modern views advising against patients’ institutionalisation, offers homecare services. The service employs nurses, psychologists, social workers and physical therapists who work with the patient’s oncologist and count on the support of the doctors at the Arodaphnousa Palliative Care Centre. This team of professionals coordinate and cooperate to ensure a comprehensive care, tailor-made to the needs of each individual patient. The patients are usually referred to the service by their treating physician. However, the patients or their family can seek help from the service at all the offices of the Society. The patients can also borrow the equipment they need from the Centre, such as special medical beds, wheelchairs, oxygen delivery systems etc.
The service is available on a 24-hour basis in the Nicosia and Limassol districts. Call 97880686 for Nicosia and 99389246 for Limassol.
